The good old American Dream used to be get married, have kids, get a good job, and exist. Sounds nice, right? What if you don’t want kids, or a marriage? Even if you do, what happens on the road to getting there? The details seem to get lost in the big picture. …

Internet trolls. In their minds, they are the heroes of the world wide web –– using computer screens as their shield, the keyboard as their sword, and hate as their fuel. They now have the power to reach anyone they please, whether their opinions are valid or not. And most of the time, it’s not.

Being a people pleaser may have you feeling fulfilled — like you have a sense of purpose within the community you’ve built for yourself. However, most of the time, it leaves you pleasing everyone, except yourself.

You may believe that deep down, you just have a calling for helping those in need around you, yet, at the end of the day, you’re depleted of energy and haven’t really thought about what it is that you need.

2020 was supposed to be a year of growth, reinventing yourself, and living your best life. Everyone I knew around me was counting on this year to be the decade where everything started to fall into place as we went from our 20s to our 30s. Boy, were we wrong.

Needless to say, we’re living in textbook times —nothing is going to plan. Futures became uncertain, five-year plans disintegrated before our eyes, and people are losing loved ones, terrified to even go to the grocery store because disease very well could be around every aisle or every bottle of ketchup…
